In the modern non-fiction you’re ought to see
The lines get blurred and far between
Building towards a twist ending
Twisted laws, turning and bending at our will
The human omnipotence, unlimited in its need
To sacrifice all common sense for a little greed
THE CROWDED TEMPLE SLEEPS
WE LACK THE NEED TO AWAKEN
STRAY OFF THE SUN BEFORE YOU BURN YOUR EYES
WE’RE LOSING SIGHT OF WHAT’S BEEN SHAPEN
Our recycling process has always been
Out with the old, in with the new
A change of blood won’t stop the descending
We’d have to let the old outwit the new
To appease the gods of technology, a sacrifice has been made
Your logging prayers must be incessant
Our pride is like backwards-problem solving

Red Letter Day
03:17
|
|||
We’re trading lives for another fish in the sea of mediocrity,
Its’ waves unable to
Wash away the lines from the sand
Even with the x marking an impending doom
It's the presence of a deadline that makes us feel secure
DEFINING FREEDOM OF MAN
THE ACHILLES’ HEEL OF IDENTITY
CANNOT STAND ON ITS’ OWN
Our democracy is the possession of liberty, yet
Doing nothing with it - a virtue among the
Best of us and the last to rust
Red letter day
Unto thee we pray
You keep us sane
And prop the boundaries we can’t see
Deprived to oblige
And the wave returns to sea

Our Kármán line’s too low
There’s a reason why the asterisk is used sparingly in text
Not all of us can be special characters
Yet we strive within this cautionary lie where everything from A to Z must be done at once
The walking dead – if only breathing would suffice we’d be on all three stages of history
The past, the present, the future - they should be treated as one
UNDERSTATING OUR TIME SIGNATURES
IS NOT UNDERSTANDING THE OBVIOUS PATH IN MOTION - THE CIRCLING VULTURE THAT WE FAIL TO SEE

Ambidextrous
03:11
|
|||
As the masses were all gathering predispositions for the arms race
An individual thought of an other way
Putting on his gloves, the ambidextrous dream was closer than before
His punching bag contained all nations
Caught left-handed with an aim undefined
Caught right-winged and the aim still undefined
ASSUMING PUGILISTIC STANCE
THAT FOR CENTURIES HAS TRIED AND TESTED THE FLAMES
Aiming at his goal the ambidextrous sight was faltering and sore
Specifically targeted at nothing
Like every working clockwork our gears must grind in unison

The Ominous Lining
04:44
|
|||
The stories foretold recounting memories unknown
But still the light burns young
There’s a wolf hiding in the undertow
It grins through the seams as we please and
THE HOWLING GROWS
FEEDING UNKNOWNS – A NOUN WE ARE
THE FIRST TO ARRIVE WILL STALL THE LIGHT
FOR IT CLOSES THE SEAMS
Unsettled soothing
The stitches meld between the lines
And the healing keeps young
Time to cut them loose
There’s a following bent on letting
The wolf through the seams as they please because
It needs to change
It needs to evolve
It needs to breed
It will get out
The ominous lining, all defining
Ominous lining, tantalizing
